Organic Instruments release Glockenspiel

Free instrument joins Elemental Player range

Organic Instruments Glockenspiel Elemental Player free sampler virtual instrument plug-in

The latest release for Organic Instruments’ Elemental Player software instrument platform captures a toy glockenspiel, and as with the host player, is available to download for free.

Glockenspiel’s GUI follows the same format as the company’s previous releases, offering a simple set of controls in a compact and user-friendly layout. A Dynamics section allows users to control the gain, panning and velocity range of the core samples, and is followed by an ADSR Envelope module. There’s also a built-in reverb effect equipped with Size, Width, Damp and Dry/Wet parameters. The company say that the instrument was recorded in a bedroom with a range of different mallets including plastic, wooden and felted, all of which can be selected from a Sound section to the right of the plug-in, along with dampened and deadened articulations.

Organic Instruments are currently running a sale on their Elemental Studio platform — the same tool which the company use to create their own instrument range — for those who have any of the company’s existing products in their account at the time of checkout. Savings of up to 57% are available until 21 February 2024, with additional discounts for education customers. More information can be found on the company’s website.

Compatibility

Glockenspiel runs in Organic Instruments’ free Elemental Player, which is supported on PCs running Windows (no minimum version specified) and Macs running macOS 10.13 or higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.
